Squaring the Circle – the story of HIPGNOSIS, the new documentary by Anton Corbijn about the story of HIPGNOSIS is meeting with euphoric audiences at the Sundance Festival and wowing film critics across the US. It tells the story of HIPGNOSIS, the visionary creators of ingenious album cover art, Aubrey Powell and Storm Thorgerson, who between 1967 and 1983, produced iconic LP covers for rock legends such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, 10cc, Genesis and Peter Gabriel, Paul McCarthey and many others. In addition to HIPGNOSIS founder Aubrey Powell, Pink Floyd’s Rodger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney and various other creatives with whom HIPGNOSIS collaborated, such as photographer Jill Furmanowsky, tell of their encounters with the design geniuses and the crazy heyday of the vinyl age others.

From May Squaring the Circle comes in the USA in the cinemas. Whether he will also be seen in Germany, is still unclear. We hope for it. In the meantime, all we have for now is a trailer and press coverage of the film. You can find both here
